GEOSENSE
The GeoSense IoT Smart Landslide Monitoring and Control System is designed to provide a realtime disaster mitigation solution for communities and local authorities in high-risk topography. The primary problem is the high risk of property damage and loss of life due to the lack of early warning systems and continuous environmental monitoring in landslide-prone areas. This project aims to develop a robust monitoring node and a digital dashboard to ensure rapid data dissemination. The methodology involves integrating soil moisture, rain, vibration, and water level sensors with an ESP32 microcontroller, utilizing LoRa technology for long-range, low-power communication. The primary contributions include the system architecture design, circuit integration, and the development of the data visualization dashboard. Results demonstrate that the system successfully detects critical environmental shifts and transmits alerts with minimal latency. This project significantly benefits the
community by providing an affordable early warning tool, ultimately enhancing disaster preparedness and supporting local authorities in more effective prevention measures to save lives.
