ELDER-SOS: SMART OBSERVATION & SAFETY NETWORK FOR ELDERLY HOME NETWORKING
The increasing number of elderly individuals living independently has raised concerns regarding their safety and well-being, especially during emergencies such as falls or sudden health issues. This project, ELDER-SOS: Smart Observation & Safety Network for Elderly Home Networking, proposes an Internet of Things (IoT)-based system for real-time monitoring and rapid emergency response. The system integrates sensors such as motion detection, fall detection, and an emergency button, connected through an ESP8266 microcontroller and Wi-Fi network. Data is transmitted to a cloud-based platform and displayed via a monitoring dashboard, while instant notifications are sent to caregivers through mobile applications and Telegram alerts. The system is developed using Agile methodology to ensure flexibility, continuous improvement, and reliability. Overall, this project aims to enhance elderly safety, reduce emergency response time, and support independent living with greater confidence and peace of mind.
